Scale 2 - Jewellery Box/Drawing Board

Above are the pieces which make up the finished drawing board, at scale 1:1. I modified the original pin which allowed me to "lock" the panel more securely with a pin. This slots through holes in the staple, which now protrudes outwards! This was to change the aesthetic and also give the board strength for when it was being used. I also designed a new pin which solves the problem I had of how the table and base faces fitted onto the side panels. It also has a pin which is fed through holes in the staple. I also decided to "cap" the ends, giving strength to a delicate point and to finish it off nicely. The tip of the panel are now connected by a bronze "V" shaped piece which runs the entire metre length of the full-size drawing board, but does not affect the beautiful light patterning formed by the collection of the triangle points. Dimensions of the top and bottom plates are 1000mmx700mm, and the panels are 8mm in thickness, made from hard-wood.
