The jewellery box houses the mask and operates as a drawing board for Spiller to work on his hand-drawings.
The panels are reconfigurable, allowing for changes in angle to the face.
Peter Zumpthor's Thermal Vaals was inspirational to me. Thinking about his clever use of light through slits combined with Neil Spiller's black ink drawings, led me to create an animation entitled 'Black Ink'. It became the starting point for my jewellery box.
